With the latest update to the codec files that handles the audio, most cards (older the better) now work well including most PCI cards.   The VIBRA and CRYSTAL on board sound chip sets also work will although the CRYSTAL chips do not support the SYNTH feature which is required for some CWID scripts.

During the early phase of a new node install there is an audio card test.  We suggest you simply try what you have before worrying about having a known working card.
