The IRLP board package price includes: 1 version 3.0 IRLP board and cable page explaining where to obtain
up-to-date setup instructions for CentOS. IRLP system software will be downloaded after
Linux
install. IRLP software support by volunteers in most time
zones.
To assure you have the latest up-to-date code, the IRLP
system software is not on the CD but rather it is downloaded and installed onto
your machine using a script provided by IRLP. IRLP now ships with CentOS, an open source project which mirrors
Redhat EL. The IRLP CD is NOT a full CentOS CD. The version we
provide is very small, only 150 megabyte CD, which installs to about 400 megs. If you already have
Linux, we still suggest you obtain the IRLP CD for optimal performance. IRLP will
not assist in the initial installation of any Linux release besides CentOS,
although many others have been set up to work with IRLP. Due to enhanced border security and the package bombardment with who knows what, the
IRLP kit is no longer shipped with a bootdisk (as shown above). Bootdisk creation is covered in
the install documents and requires a formatted 1.44MB 3.5" floppy disk. Other Order Information The average turnaround between order and delivery is 2-3 weeks on average.
The boards are all pre-built and shipped on an as needed basis. Just as a side note, there will never be a per USER fee for using the IRLP
system that will be charged by IRLP. You can, however, charge for the distribution
of codes in your area, and also have full control over access to your node. IRLP may, in the future, have to charge a yearly fee on a per NODE basis.
This fee will not exceed $30 US per year and will be used to pay for domain web
space and contracted help we require to solve software problems. Thank you. Donations
